Membership in the Foundation is open to those interested in advancing the purpose of the Athens Drive Arts Foundation and through participation in one of the various membership giving programs. This may include active participants in the Athens Drive High School band program, parents/guardians of Athens Drive High band members (both past and present), alumni, or other members of the Athens Drive community interested in support of the Arts.
Members in good standing are entitled to attend general and special meetings; to vote on all questions coming before the membership; to hold office and serve on standing or special committees.
Members are welcome to attend meetings of the Board and to participate in discussions on matters before the Board, but without a vote on matters before the Board.
Membership dues and privileges are determined by the Board. Only those persons whose membership is paid for the current year will be considered a member in “good standing.” The Board may, at its discretion, terminate the membership of any person at any time by returning that person’s current dues.
Members may resign at any time by notifying the current President. Members are expelled upon motion by the President and verified by a majority of a quorum of the membership. Before such action is taken, the member concerned shall receive written notification at least two weeks prior to, and be granted an opportunity to be heard at, a regular meeting of the ADAF.
Membership in the ADAF may not be transferred.
